Security Engineer

Your Responsibilities

  • Participating in the definition, design, integration, and extension of the network and network security infrastructures

  • Development of high-quality design documents, technical documentation and operational procedures

  • Providing security operations support to our customers, including detection and management of security incidents.

Your Qualifications

  • The applicant should ideally have at least 5 years of practical experience in the field of network security with experience defining and designing network security solutions, implementation and operation of network and security infrastructures

  • Practical experience with enterprise network security and networking solutions, including routing solutions, switching, firewalls, load balancers

  • Practical experience with common network protocols, common Internet protocols, routing protocols, network authentication protocols, and VPN technologies, and remote access solutions

  • Good understanding of security solutions in general and practical experience with cryptography, authentication and authorization systems, log correlation systems, threat prevention, and anti-virus solutions

  • Experience with routing and switching technologies, dynamic routing protocols, wireless technologies, and related security technologies from different vendors (such as network authentication and access control protocols)

  • Good practical experience with common operating systems, including Windows and Linux environments. Good understanding of operating system security and experience with basic security hardening and configurations

  • Experience with multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, identity management, or PKI technologies will be considered an advantage as will be experience with security in cloud environments

  • Understanding common security threats and vulnerabilities and practical experience in mitigating those in real-world environments will be considered an advantage

  • Good analytical and troubleshooting skills with the capacity to provide clear descriptions of technical problems

  • Certifications in the field of information security, network security, and/or networking will be considered an advantage.
